For example, health insurance plans obtained through the Marketplace—also known as “ObamaCare” or the Affordable Care Act (ACA)—in the state of Florida, by default exclude all bariatric surgery benefits.

The most important requirement is having a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 35 or higher.

Absolutely. If you have already had bariatric surgery and are experiencing symptoms such as pain, oral intolerance, and/or frequent vomiting, among others—or if you did not reach a healthy weight and still have a BMI over 35—do not hesitate to consult with us.
